Article 33 of the Public Administration Omnibus bill, recently submitted and passed by the Hungarian government, makes it impossible for transgender people to register their real, lived gender.
Human rights activist Florian Filtzinger staged a demonstration in Berlin in front of the Hungarian Embassy and the adjacent European Commission to emphasize that systemic harassment of trans people affects everyone and that a wave of hatred against sexual minorities is approaching Central Europe.
