The coming out story of Antonella

Hang on, we are here for you!” – this is the message of Antonella, the Roma transgender sex worker-activist from Romania. She shared her Coming Out story with us. Her family forced her to marry at the age of 14, so she had no choice but to come out. Because of the transphobia surrounded her, within two years she decided to move away from her family.  Antonella got a role in the play of the Romanian feminist Roma troupe, in Giuvlipen‘s Sexodrom.

The full interview can be watched on November 7-8, 2019 in Portsmouth, at the Aspex Gallery, during the Roma LGBTQI exhibition, and then on QRTV.
